What is your mantra for packing for a trip?Onboard 33 South Racing, the Australian wild card entry for the Extreme Sailing Series which will take place in Sydney From 11-13 December 2015 09/12/2015 ph. Andrea Francolini

Pack light – you never need as much as you can fit in your bag, you always end up wearing the same two T-shirts anyway, plus it’s much easier to get around.

What fitness are you doing at the moment?

I cycle, swim, box, and I’m planning for my first triathlon.

Do you have a strict regimen for nutrition and eating?

I think different things work for different people but for me it’s about having a balance, and knowing when you need to cut back and when you can splurge a bit. I’ve never been a calorie counter but I can manage my weight just by being conscious of what I eat all the time, not just for two weeks while on a diet.

What are your favourite sailing foods?

Carly Chant’s brownies!!

Got any favourite eateries overseas?

Gino’s Pizza in Chicago

Got any advice for better teamwork on boats?

Definitely lose the attitude. It’s good to want to get the best out of the people around you, but yelling is rarely the way to do it.

Where do you love to sail?

Long Beach, USA; Marstrand Sweden; Hamilton Island Australia.

What gadgets do you use to help your sailing jobs?

GPS Heart rate monitor. Mine just broke so I’m looking for a new one (any suggestions?)

Big fan of my macbook air, it’s great for travelling and home use.
